I did it, when I lived in Shanghai for about 6 months.
Unfortunatley I will remember the date forever, it was the Sunday when Michael Schumacher had his skiing accident on 29th December 2013.

Same story for me last year! I booked flights, hotel, tickets around Sept. 2017 to find out they swapped dates with Bahrain later on in Dec.! Luckily i was able to cancel the trip (changing would’ve been too costly) and so i went to this years Montreal GP 2 weeks ago instead. Had a great weekend there. Shanghai is still on my list though…I wanted to say that this site has been very helpful for my f1 spectating plans! Keep up the great work!
